Medium-Density Fiberboard (MDF)

Thermally-Fused Laminate (TFL) & Melamine

- Limitations:
- Only available in flat or slab door profiles. As little as 30 finishes are available in shaker style doors.

Thermofoil

- Solid Wood is a natural, premium product
- MDF is a mid-range product
- TFL and Thermofoil are more economical.
Style:
- Solid wood is exclusive to stains and have a wide range of door profiles
- TFLs have a wise selection of colors and grain but can be only made as a slab, with a few colors being offered in shaker style
- Thermofoil has a wider options of door profiles than TFL’s with the same color/pattern opitions
Durability: All material are durable within reason.
Maintenance: Cabinet doors require less maintenance when accompanied by quality hood fans that pulls out the oil and impurities released when cooking.
